Somebody on the BanjoHangout website suggested that I line my hat with tinfoil, to keep the Thought Control Rays from penetrating my brain. That very day, at a thrift shop, I found this brass bowl. I had been planning to make a brass-bodied banjo, on the theory that IF a brass hoop makes for a slighlt better sound, AND a large brass tone ring makes for a MUCH bettre sound, THEN an entirely brass body should really ring! Anyway, I took a picture of me wearing the brass helmet, and sent it to the people who suggested tin foil. There again, if a thin film of metal is GOOD, a solid brass hat should be BETTER! |
